Sunday Coffee and Donuts
Volunteers take turns on a rotating basis facilitating this social ministry. Basic responsibilities include preparing coffee and setting out the donuts, and cleaning up afterwards.Marriage Preparation Ministry
Married couples work with engaged couples on a one-on-one basis for four to six sessions, helping them with communication skills and resolving problems in preparation for the Sacrament of Marriage.Office Volunteers
The Tri-Community Office, located in the Sacred Heart Parish Center, regularly needs volunteers to assist with mailing projects, answering telephones, copying and compiling information packets, and other clerical/administrative duties. (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults)Practicing Catholics are needed for both the catechumenate team and to act as sponsors for those who are in the process of becoming Catholic. A sponsor attends RCIA classes with the participant, assists with the various rites that mark progress, and serves as godparent for a participant who will be baptized. Team members and sponsors often find their own faith has been tremendously deepened and enriched by the process!
